Today on the SP Blog, I’m so excited to share some of my favorite photos from Baby Maclin’s lifestyle newborn session from over the weekend. I may be a little biased because Maclin has the coolest parents, but he’s one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever met. I’m making my judgment entirely on that he let me hold him without crying. That’s all it takes for me to like a baby 😛 I’m still in disbelief that Maclin used to be in Erin’s tiny pregnant belly and then I was holding him in my arms only a few weeks later.

I always make sure to block out enough time for my newborn sessions. The last thing I want is stressed parents or an unhappy baby. I assume that every newborn will have some sort of accident and need to be fed at least once during the session, for example. With all the things that could go wrong with a newborn session, Maclin was a little angel. No tantrums and no accidents made my time with him go so smoothly.

An even bigger shoutout goes to Maclin’s parents and brother! We had one window to work with in the bedroom, but Paul and Jayden were more than willing to move the entire bed just for these photos. Whenever Maclin started to get a little fussy, Erin’s motherly comfort calmed him down in minutes. Maybe I should hire them to help me with all newborn sessions!

All jokes aside, I’m so honored that I was able to capture Erin + Paul’s maternity photos AND these newborn photos of Maclin. Welcome to the world, Maclin!!
