Katrina and Moussa are such a gorgeous couple, and I’m so excited to share the radiating love and happiness captured during their engagement session at Seattle’s Discovery Park. Katrina and Moussa met in high school but didn’t see much of each other until college. While Katrina attended UW, Moussa would visit some of their mutual friends, but it wasn’t until Moussa moved back to Seattle that they connected and started to officially date. As they say, the rest is history.

The Proposal

Moussa proposed on Katrina’s birthday with a jaw-dropping oval-shaped diamond. She was expecting a small birthday dinner- just the two- but he had other plans. Moussaproposed to her at Gas Works Park and then took her dinner, surprising her with all of her loved ones at their favorite cocktail bar. Moussa proposed to Katrina on her birthday as an ode to those college days where almost every year, they spend Katrina’s birthday together, which is incredibly thoughtful if you ask me! 

Their favorite date night is getting dinner on the waterfront, followed by sharing a bottle of wine at a cozy lounge. They also love exploring the city together and playing tourists in their town of Seattle. 

The Engagement Session

We decided to do Katrina and Moussa’s engagement session at Discovery Park in Seattle, WA. Katrina wore a stunning satin gown and nude heels for the first half of the session. Her dress fit her bubbly personality so well. Moussa wore black pants and a white button-up to complement their elegant evening look. We went down to the beach for the last half of their engagement session, and with that came an outfit change. Katrina and Moussa’s trendy style was perfect for this part of the session; they both wore jeans and their favorite sneakers, which created a cozy, playful look! It was a chilly night at the beach, but we popped champagne and laughed the whole session! 

It’s important to make our couples feel comfortable in front of our cameras and bring out their unique personalities. We know taking your photo can be nerve-racking, which is why we like to keep our sessions as fun and lighthearted as possible.
