Lindsey and David’s Marionfield Farm wedding in Arlington, WA, features a tasteful, rustic theme and moments filled with all the happy tears. When it was time for Michael and I to head home at the end of the night, we were both feeling a little sad that this wedding couldn’t go on forever. Can I give you some insider knowledge? Michael and I weren’t supposed to be Lindsey and David’s wedding photographers. If 2020 didn’t go the way it had, then these two would be celebrating their first wedding anniversary this year instead. Although I’m sure everyone could curse at the thought of how stressful it was to reschedule such a joyous event to 2021, I don’t want to be in the reality where we never met Lindsey and David. The crazy thing, too, is that we only had the chance to meet in person two weeks before their wedding day at their *third* engagement session! You know when you meet someone and it feels like you’ve already been friends your whole life? That’s what it was like with these two.
Spring Wedding at Marionfield Farm
Michael and I were able to tour this venue the week before the wedding and plan out the best spots to take photos throughout the day. The location we decided on for Lindsey and David’s first was actually the road leading to Marionfield Farm. It was surrounded by tall trees on either side and combined privacy with cool shade! Immediately following their first look, Lindsey and David shared some private, sweet words to each other before we dove into portraits. Although we were too far back to hear exactly what they said to each other, the tender moments of Lindsey wiping away David’s tears and how they looked into each others’ eyes were so beautiful to capture. Some of my favorite photos from that day are from our time in the field next to Marionfield Farm right before sunset at “golden hour.” We literally chased the light together and it was an awesome note to end our time a their wedding. I could go on and on about Lindsey and David’s Marionfield Farm wedding, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Enjoy seeing some of my favorites below!
