Today’s SP Blog features one of our recent engagement sessions at an Edmonds beach near Seattle with Gina + Dana! These two love birds are actually friends of ours and so we were beyond honored when they asked us to document this sweet time of being engaged. *Insert all the heart eyes emojis* Both of them attended our little wedding last November and Dana was even our officiant! So, I’d say that Gina + Dana are pretty special to Michael and me π
Gina picked Brackett’s Landing in Edmonds, WA, because it was near where they proposed. Gina even mentioned that this specific spot on the beach is where she intended to propose. Like most beach days in the PNW this time of year, it was freezing cold outside, a little windy, and misty. Regardless, sessions by the water are my favorite sessions to shoot. I mean, we are all so fortunate to live next to a beautiful body of water and I’d argue that beaches are romantic. Even with sand in your shoes. π
Gina + Dana met through roller derby and you can bet that they found the cutest way to incorporate that into their photos. I always admire when couples find ways to combine the things they love (besides each other, of course) into their engagement session. One of my goals as an engagement photographer is to produce a visual representation about how two people feel. The infectious and seemingly effortless connection between Gina + Dana made my job incredibly easy.
XOXO,
SP

[…] Stormy and I are so pleased to bring you Gina + Dana’s Brackett’s Landing wedding commitment ceremony in Edmonds, WA. Gina + Dana originally planned to celebrate their wedding with their family back in Michigan. The recent pandemic, however, compelled Gina + Dana to postpone their wedding until 2021. In the meantime, they wanted to celebrate with their friends here in Washington on their original date and at the location of their proposal and engagement photos! If you haven’t seen the blog post from that session, you can find it HERE. […]
