As Michael and I arrived to Discovery Park in Seattle for Young-wha and Rutledge’s engagement session, we realized we were deceived by the weather forecast. Rather than the expected sunny fall day, we were met with fog and smoke (smog). Despite the gloomy conditions, Young-wha and Rutledge’s personalities and obvious chemistry made for joyful photos! Just wait until you see their smiles!

Kiesha and Eric shared their vows in front of close family members in their hometown of Yakima, Washington. Their ceremony overlooked the seemingly vast fields of vineyards and orchards across the horizon. Hiding behind a thin veil of smoke from nearby fires was Mount Adams, too.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of capturing Bri and Matt’s backyard wedding in Renton, Washington. You know when you meet a couple and you can tell that they’re meant to be together? That’s Bri and Matt. These two are so in love and so authentic with each other. But before I tell you about their special day, let me tell you about their love story!

Bernadette wanted to surprise her parents and grandmother with a family session and she chose such a beautiful location at the Point Defiance Rose Garden in Tacoma, WA! Along with Bernadette’s three sisters and all their kiddos, we had a great time wrangling the kids and working hard for adorable baby smiles.

Kayla and Scott were always planning on having a small, intimate wedding, but due to COVID had to change their venue which was originally the Salish Lodge. Luckily, Sadie Lake Events in Arlington, WA was available with the perfect venue! The outdoor ceremony site was set up just right for a small gathering of Kayla and Scotts closest friends, family, and of course, their dog Albert.

Joined with a couple of close friends and their fur baby, Barley, Linden and Cary celebrated their love in a laid-back ceremony. It was truly a reflection of who they are as a couple. Like many 2020 brides, Linden had to make the decision about postponing their larger celebration to a safer time.

Welcome to Kyna and Sean’s Kirkland Heritage Hall engagement session featured on the SP Blog! This was actually my first time meeting these lovebirds, but I’d already heard so much about them. When Stormy, Kyna, and Sean met for coffee at the beginning of the year, I remember Stormy coming home to say that she […]

Today we bring you Linden + Cary’s engagement session from the Seattle Arboretum! After having to reschedule a few times because of COVID and weather, we finally made these glowy photos happen! The arboretum has so many species of plants that there is always something beautiful in bloom from the spring through the summertime. One of the reasons Linden chose the arboretum was for it’s Linden trees.
