Today I’m featuring Kelsey and Alex’s dusty blue and mauve spring wedding at Wisteria Gardens in Anacortes, WA. Every thoughtful and sentimental detail came together to create a picture perfect day. From Kesley’s grandmother’s pocket watch on her bouquet, to meeting a long lost cousin for the first time, to the way Alex looked at Kelsey throughout the day, Michael and I are so honored we got to capture all of it. To say Kelsey and Alex’s wedding day was a special day is an understatement. Joy for this couple radiated everywhere around Wisteria Gardens and it was contagious!

Kelsey + Alex’s Wedding at Wisteria Gardens

After hair and makeup concluded in the bridal getting ready suite, Kelsey and her bridesmaids cozied up together for adorable photos in their robes. Soon after, Kelsey was helped into her wedding dress. I set her girls up to see Kelsey in her wedding dress for the first time. A combination of awes and happy tears filled the room. Next up, Kelsey’s dad was invited in for a daddy-daughter first look. His reaction was so sweet and tender while Kelsey’s mom witnessed the moment with tears in her eyes.

On the other side of the gardens, Alex’s dad was smiling from ear to ear as he helped his son get ready for the ceremony. Can’t forget about the mother of the groom! Alex and his mother put on each others’ respective boutonnieres and corsages. Moments before the ceremony, a private love letter was brought to Alex from Kelsey. Michael captured his beaming reaction to Kelsey’s letter and it was a thoughtful way to show her love before their ceremony. Seeing Alex’s reaction to Kelsey walking down the aisle and mouthing how beautiful she looked made for a first look that I’m sure they’ll remember fondly when reminiscing about their wedding day!

Gah, I could seriously go on and on about the many sweet moments from this beautiful wedding or even how much Michael and I adore Kelsey and Alex, but then I’d have to write a whole book, haha!
