It’s not uncommon for couples to include their fur babies in their engagement sessions. Heck, Michael and I included our cats in our wedding photos. Yep, we are THOSE people 😛 In Tessa + Jack’s Duvall engagement session, we got to meet sweet Lily, their pup, and Bonnie, Tessa’s horse! I’ve always wanted to have a session with a horse. When Tessa asked if it was possible, of course the answer was ‘yes’! Cue the cuteness!

Duvall Farm Engagement Session

Meeting Tessa for coffee the first time, I felt like I was sitting across from someone just like me. I could instantly tell that she was a driven, focused, and smart woman with a refreshing sense of humor. Once I met Jack at their engagement session, it was clear how well these two meshed together.

We met at Tessa’s barn in Duvall and walked over to a small corn field. Following us was their three year old puppy, Lily. She had me entertained the entire session as she playfully ran around Tessa + Jack. Even when we’d try to call her away so she wasn’t in every photo, Lily kept running back. But these photos aren’t about Lily. Tessa + Jack are probably one of the most laidback couples I’ve ever photographed. They both acted so cool, calm, and collected during their photos. By the end our of time together, it felt like we were all just friends hanging out while Michael and I were holding cameras.

These cuties are getting married next July at Red Barn Studios and I already know it’s going to be a blast! Enjoy some of our favorites from Tessa + Jack’s Duvall engagement session!
