On this raining PNW morning, the SP Blog is featuring a colorful fall engagement session in Seattle at Discovery Beach Park! Amanda + Kyle’s location choice was right up their alley; they both like to go hiking and explore new places, so this huge park was an ideal location for their engagement session. After all, the park has just about everything: a beach view, open fields, etc. Their two fur babies were the only thing missing, but I promise you’ll see them in this post. Stay tuned!
When I first met Amanda + Kyle for coffee, it felt like we were instant friends! We met at a different coffee place than where I usually meet my brides because they wanted to try new coffee places. That is always music to my ears as a coffee snob 😛 After hearing that I knew that Amanda + Kyle were my kind of people. During our chat together, Amanda educated me on the healthier ways to eat ice cream and I’m so glad she did because I think I have a problem (haha). Ice cream and coffee are some of my favorite things… Did someone say AFFOGATO?! All of this combined with witnessing their quirky love made me feel ecstatic when they wanted me to be their wedding photographer.
A Fall Engagement Session in Seattle
Fast forward to their session where we were blessed by the beautiful glow of the morning light. More often than not, PNW mornings are foggy and frigid. Like disgustingly cold. We started our session by the park’s lighthouse and drift wood strewn beach. Amanda + Kyle were incredibly quick to pick up my posing style! For most of the session, it was like they read my mind and fell right into poses. And total side note: Even with all the bright fall colors, our cameras were drawn to Amanda’s pink sapphire engagement ring. (I’m probably going to keep talking about it forever!)
After their session at the park, we drove nearby to take photos with Amanda + Kyle’s dogs. Can’t forget the fur babies! If you want to see Amanda + Kyle with their two sweet pups, scroll all the way to the end!
Amanda + Kyle, I keep having so much fun with you two and I am SO excited to photograph your wedding at Woodland Meadow Farm in July!!!
