It’s no secret that Europe is full of awe-inspiring history and architecture, giving it a unique old-world feel. Unfortunately, we don’t see that as much in the US. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t hidden gems that give off those swoon-worthy European vibes. Insert Lairmont Manor, an Italian Renaissance-style home in Bellingham, WA.

Lairmont Manor

Built-in 1914, Lairmont Manor is a picturesque, intimate, European Inspired, and unforgettable estate venue north of Seattle. Walking around the property, you’ll find something special to stop and admire around each corner of the venue. Whether it’s the colorful flowers of the garden, statues, or dove enclosure, to name a few.

The Design

After sharing my initial vision for the shoot, Events by Genevieve designed a fine art bridal editorial masterpiece at Lairmont Manor. The editorial included classic European details such as multiple muted-colored roses, traditional white china, vintage glassware, and pears on the table. Along with the European inspiration, we wanted to add romantic and luxury twists with a custom hand-painted champagne bottle by Paige Lindsey Design, an art deco-inspired mosaic diamond ring, and giving poppies their moment in the spotlight with the floral design and sugar fondant poppies created by Birch Bakes that artfully climbed up the cake. Everything came together to create eye-catching textures and dimensions.

The Bride

The bride wore a stylish, flattering light pink wedding gown from The Dress Theory Seattle. Adorned with trendy sleeves, the gown had a subtle sparkle that complimented the stones of her Bella Belle heels. All of these elements, combined with her soft updo and natural makeup, completed the feminine and classic look we were aiming for.

The Details

The flat lays included stunning invitations and paper goods from Ink and Press Co with additional curated details such as cake slices. The custom hand-painted champagne bottle, pears, and a mixture of all the florals were incorporated into the shoot. Additionally, I shot almost entirely on film. This editorial was a dream to capture and made possible by the oh-so-talented vendors involved.
