Intimate Sequim Wedding | Anne + Mikey

Michael here! Today I am proud to bring you Anne + Mikey’s intimate Sequim wedding from Saturday! This was Stormy’s and my first time out to Sequim, which is tucked away on the north side of the Olympic Peninsula surrounded by farmland and overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
While I didn’t get the opportunity to help Stormy at Anne and Mikey’s engagement session, Stormy told me all about it! She couldn’t wait to tell me how sweet Anne and Mikey were and show me their glowy photos. It is truly a beautiful session and you can read all about it here. Needless to say, I was excited to meet Anne, Mikey, and their families after hearing such good things. (We also couldn’t wait to meet their new Australian Shepard puppy, Willow!)
Intimate Sequim Wedding
Since the ferry is only taking a few trips during the day currently, we decided to take an early ferry and get to Sequim with time to spare. That gave us time to meet Anne and Mikey’s parents and guests before we started working. Both Anne’s Parents, John and Laura, and Mikey’s parents, Michael and Trisha made us feel welcome and like members of the family. I was so surprised that when we went to introduce ourselves, they already knew who we were. It still amazes us that the parents of our couples look at our work beforehand and know who we are before we’ve even met; it’s quite the compliment!
While it did rain almost the whole length of the wedding, it held off during their ceremony. Right after Anne and Mikey kissed, the rain came like something out of one of Stormy’s romance novels! Even with the rain, we didn’t let it get us down and Anne and Mikey hardly seemed to notice. Stormy and I brought our clear umbrella for bride and groom portraits and found a small dry place for family formals! Their entire wedding day was filled with so much joy and we are so happy that we got to celebrate their love. We can’t wait to meet all of the rest of their friends and family at their big wedding celebration next July at the Kiana Lodge!
