Intimate Enumclaw Wedding | Melinda + Kelen

Today Michael and I are thrilled to bring you Melinda and Kelen’s intimate Enumclaw wedding from over the holiday weekend! When Melinda reached out to me about shooting her wedding, I was thrilled for a couple of reasons. She and I used to take ballet together when we went to UW Seattle and I was lucky enough to take her family photos last fall and meet Kelen! Enumclaw Backyard Ceremony

Even before all of the COVID craziness, Melinda and Kelen decided they would tie the knot at Kelen’s brother’s house in Enumclaw. The property is nestled in gorgeous PNW trees and surrounded by farmland. I couldn’t think of a more serene and perfect location for a backyard wedding.

While most of the time we suggest to our couples that they have a first look, Melinda and Kelen decided to do something extra special. As Melinda walked down the aisle and saw her groom, Kelen SANG to her as a token of his love. ISN’T THAT THE MOST ROMANTIC THING?!?! If that wasn’t already the sweetest, their vows melted our hearts. Melinda and Kelen are so in love and the way that they laughed and spoke about each other, whether it was the flirty whispering or their many jokes together, it really showed. (I will admit that I found myself crying a little too hard during their vows, haha)

White Barn Reception

Melinda + Kelen had their reception in the beautiful white barn on the property. Let me just say that a light colored barn like this white one is a dream to photograph in! The barn interior walls and ceiling were painted white and there were white tulle streamers along the ceiling which brightened the whole space.

Once dinner was finished, it was time for dances!! Melinda + Kelen laughed during their whole first dance and even with all eyes on them, it was like they were alone with each other, dancing. After that, Kelen and his mom surprised us all with a choreographed dance which you can see photos of below.

It was so easy to see how in love and meant to be Melinda and Kelen are as a couple. I’m so excited to see all of the adventures they go on as husband and wife and can’t wait to see the little boy they’re expecting! CONGRATULATIONS, Mr and Mrs. Goetz!!!
