This Seattle engagement session was a windy and chilly one, for sure. I can’t be too surprised since that’s fall weather for you and even more so that we were at Discovery Beach Park! Beach = frigid wind. Seattle is nearing the end of fall where we see more leaves on the ground than on the trees. This time of year always reminds me to soak in every moment because the season is so fleeting.
This Seattle engagement session isn’t about leaves, though. It’s about Courtney + Charlie <3 These two cuties are one of those quirky couples were I felt like instant friends with them. I love it when I can so easily bond with my Stormy Brides and Grooms! I feel like we could sit down together over some hot cocoa, or coffee in my case, and the hours would pass while we shared stories back and forth and laughed the time away I couldn’t ask for a better connection with my couples 🙂
Seattle Engagement Session: Discovery Beach Park
We started Courtney + Charlie’s engagement session with their two fur babies. The matching sweaters almost killed me from the cuteness. I mean, on a chilly afternoon, you gotta keep the pups warm, right? Our first half of the session included all of the fall leaves and and warm glow of the setting sun. The second half of the session was on the beach right as golden hour was turning into “blue hour.” We were lucky because with minimal clouds in the sky, we could see Mount Rainer in the background and a bubble gum colored sky. *Insert all the heart eye emojis* We ended the night sitting together on a piece of driftwood watching the sunset together. I don’t even watch the sunset with Michael, haha!
Courtney + Charlie, I absolutely adore you both and I’m so happy to photograph such a special time in your lives 🙂 Enjoy every moment of being engaged because November 2020 at the Woodmark Hotel will be here before you know it!
XOXO,
SP
Gotta throw in a little behind the scenes action from this session. Thank you, Michael for capturing me doing what I love with people that I adore <3
